My Story
Originally hailing from northern NJ, Alison graduated from Boston University as a pre-med student with a BA in biology. Knowing that medical school wasn’t her calling, she sought out alternative options where optimal health through minimal intervention was the main goal and decided on acupuncture school. After years of study and dedication, Alison started her acupuncture career working on Newbury St. in Boston and has been practicing in the Back Bay ever since. After moving from Boston to the South Coast of MA in 2020, Alison wanted to bring her practice closer to home.
During her education, Alison's areas of focus for her studies were Chinese acupuncture, Japanese acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, auricular (ear) acupuncture and orthopedic acupuncture. Over the past decade, Alison has taken extensive continuing education courses in fertility, pediatrics, digestion, pain, & bodywork. As a way to find balance in the day-to-day, Alison has been an avid student of qi gong and Chinese food energetics for many years and loves to share this knowledge with her patients as a way to heal themselves at home.
In her spare time, you can find Alison daydreaming in her vegetable garden, surfing the RI shoreline, playing pinball with her husband, or on an epic road trip with her BFF, her dog.
